The YMCA of Corry Preschool curriculum focuses on Social
interaction, Physical Development, Kindergarten Readiness and Character
Development. We offer 2, 3, 5 day a week programming designed for
different developmental levels. All classes participate in swimming lessons
and gym classes.
The YMCA of Corry has demonstrated a commitment to providing a high
quality program for young children and their families. While the Keystone
STARS designation process examines the total program, the greatest emphasis is
placed on the quality of interactions among staff and children and the developmental
appropriateness of the curriculum-- what really happens to the children.
Health and safety, staffing, staff qualifications, physical environment,
and administration are all reviewed during designation, but primary
consideration is given to the nature of the child's experience.

*Fun
Days are located at the YMCA 6:00am to 6:00pm.
The YMCA of Corry has made a commitment to the community by offering
Year-Round Child Care.
Throughout the school year there are many occasions for schools to
close--holidays, snow days, and school breaks.
At the YMCA we realize the importance of child care during these times.
That is why the YMCA offers a program called Fun Days. Fun Days are held
at YMCA when schools are not operating. Fun Days are activity-filled days
at the YMCA that include art projects, games, swimming, gym time and
scheduled field trips.
Before
School Care and Snow Delay Care:
The YMCA offers before school care beginning at 6:00 AM
The charge for before school care is the daycare rate of $3.90/hour for
members and $4.50/hour for non-members. This price includes breakfast.
Children are picked up in front of the YMCA at 7:20 AM. Children will be escorted to the
pick-up site by YMCA staff. The bus stops at the high school where the
children will transfer busses then proceed to the school.
On days the school district has a snow delay, a bus will pick up children
at the specified time and location. Again, all children will be taken to
the high school and switch busses. They will then be taken to their
respective school.

The YMCA Summer Day Camp is proud to participate in the Summer Foods
Program. The goal of this program is to increase the YMCA's ability to
meet the nutritional needs of children in our care. In addition, we
promote understanding of the role of nutrition on the physical, mental and
social health of children and help develop positive food attitudes and
eating behaviors. The YMCA provides complete and nutritious breakfasts,
lunches and snacks to children in our summer care programs.
We truly value the opportunity to assist families in providing nutritious snacks and meals to the children on our programs and to be able
to provide families with health, fitness and nutritional information that
will help them build good health and eating habits early.
